We are looking for 3 parents that would be willing to join our Audit committee to review our 2020 finances. A background in finances would be helpful but not required. Responsibilities:
-To certify the accuracy of the books and records of the financial officer; and
-To assure the membership that the association's resources/funds are being managed in a businesslike manner within the regulations established for their use.
Auditing involves following financial transactions through records to be sure that receipts have been properly accounted for and expenditures made as authorized in the minutes and in conformity with SBA bylaws, standing rules, and budget limitations.
This is a short term commitment of 2-3 days of work, and then submitting the final report to the Board.
